TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking: Acceptance of booking is done with full
payment and submission of completed forms.
Participation: Open to all. ( minors must have
guardians consent ).
Cancellation: Please notify immediately if it
becomes necessary to cancel the trip.
Refunds: There will be no refund if the cancellation
is requested within 5 days from the date of departure.
If cancellation is sought 20 days in advance, 50% will
be refunded. If the cancellation is requested 30 days in
advance, 10% of the cost is deducted along with other
bank charges, postal charges etc.
Route
Change: It is possible that a route or itinerary
change may become necessary; this could be due to
inclement weather, political reasons or restrictions or
any other cause. Route changes will always be at the
discretion of Tour guide or leader. No refund will be
made in the event of route or itinerary change.
Health & Fitness: Any individual willing to join
Sikkim Himalayan Trekking Programme, he/she must be
well prepared mentally and physically to undertake such
adventure trips. If you suffer from severe muscular,
chest, heart or bronchial disorders, and is a severe
asthmatic or have high blood pressure, you are strongly
advised against participation.
Postponements & Delays: We will not be responsible
for postponement or delays caused by delayed flight or
schedule changes at any point.
Cost:
Cost are based on ground handling, including transfer,
transport, where applicable, lodging, food, services,
porters, yaks, guides, cooks, rents, equipments, permit
to a lesser extent.
Cost
excludes: Extra meals not included in an itinerary.
Laundry, postage, electronic communication facilities,
personal clothing, medical expenses, personal travel
insurance and items of personal nature. Emergency
evacuation charges, hot beverages that and any
intoxicating items, such as brandy, rum, whisky, wine ,
beer et.
Package: Hence the cost is calculated as per the
package, and if any participant brings their own
personal gears, cost will not be decreased.
Food:
Food will be served as per the local availability
and requirement, how ever, Indian, Chinese and local
dishes served- pure vegeterarian.
Equipment: Quality equipment will be provided in
terms of tents, mattress etc.
Water: Boiled water will be served and the mineral
water will not be served. If any member of the programme
wishes to carry his/her own mineral water, he/she shall
bring back thrash or plastic bottles.
Requirements: Every rise of altitude brings in cold
wind and weather. Therefore, every trekkers are informed
of such requirements as mentioned below. Heavy woolen
clothes, warm socks, wind breaker, warm sleeping bag
preferably down. Some medicine which are needed
frequently by a participant.
Environment Protection: Participants are advised not
to dirty the environment, deviate from the trail, pluck
plants and engage in hunting. Who so ever indulges in
such acts, shall do it on his/her own risk and
responsibility. Support staffs has the duty to inform
the authorities incase any participants goes against the
environmental and wildlife protection act.
Unpleasant Moments: Any participant indulges in
violent activities, he/she will be sent back and in
which case there shall be no refunds made. Despite of
counseling the violent participant, if he/she continues
disturbing the programme physically, he/she will be
handed over to the Police.
Legal
Jurisdiction: Any legal matter will be decided in
Gangtok, Sikkim and no where else.
Certificate : Participation certificates will only be
given to successful trekkers.
